Lawnmowers
Built-in Safety Features
Most new models of lawnmowers use an automatic stop feature that will stop the engine
in the event of an emergency or should the user lose control of the mower. This important safety feature
can stop the engine and blade in the event you slip or fall and lose your grip on the controls. It also
can serve as a "panic" switch - should something enter the path of the lawnmower that you don't want to
hit or you need to stop the mower ASAP, you can simply let go of the safety lever and the mower will
automatically stop.
No matter where you shop, when purchasing a new lawnmower, you should inquire about any
safety features and be sure that you understand their proper usage. When you shop at Bob's, we'll take
the time to help you understand all the features and controls that different mowers offer.
Never disable, alter, or remove safety features from your lawnmower - they were put
there for your safety and for those around you. In the event any safety feature should need servicing or
replacing, do so in a timely manner. The longer you delay the more chance of an accident occurring.
